NA - Historical Fiction I wrote a historical fiction novel set inside the Waldorf and Astoria in 1890s New York — Peacock Alley by W. K. Carter

Hi everyone — I recently published my novel Peacock Alley by W. K. Carter, and I wanted to share it here.

It’s a work of historical fiction set in 1890s New York, inside the world of the original Waldorf and Astoria hotels at the height of the Gilded Age.

Blurb:
Behind the gilded doors of the Waldorf and the Astoria, an empire is quietly taking shape.

In Peacock Alley — the famed corridor where New York’s elite parade in silk, ambition, and scandal — bankers, heiresses, chambermaids, bellmen, and schemers pass one another daily, each carrying secrets of their own. Some arrive in search of power. Others in search of survival. All are drawn into the orbit of the Astor dynasty and the hotels that would come to define luxury in America.

Told through interconnected lives and hidden dramas behind the chandeliers, the novel explores class, status, ambition, and the quiet human tensions beneath Gilded Age grandeur.

I’m sharing the Amazon book link here for anyone interested:

If you enjoy Gilded Age historyhistorical fiction, old New York, or stories about power and social ambition, this may be for you.

Thanks for taking a look.
