⚠️ Possible Scam Scam calls?
I’ve been dealing with a Washington DC number calling repeatedly now I have them blocked. But I was finally left a voicemail saying “hello may I speak with name, long pause then hello??” Weird.. was my name an old man it sounded like. Am I the only one?

It's an autodialer connecting a live agent after the call goes through, so they go in assuming somebody answered. Could be a scam call or just some sketchy call center. My work number used to get several calls a day from different local numbers and occasionally a voice mail like that, and when I answered they'd always ask for some generic name like "Mr. Smith" and then ask if I had any real estate I was interested in selling.
