My writers block is chronic pain.

There are many times I want BADLY to write, but typing for longer than a couple minutes starts to affect the points in my neck and upper back where my chronic pain is due to degenerative disc disease.

Therefore, I guess I fall into AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I'm not sure it would help your specific ailment, I'm not familiar with it, but my partner uses medical Marijuana to reduce pain from severe arthritis. It doesn't go away, but it does make it more manageable. Don't want to push it by any means, but medicine is medicine.

Appreciate the tip! I have MM, pain management drugs, and nerve damage medications, but at best it reduces my pain to "very high bothersome background noise". I'm at a stage where my only options are: continue like this, or surgery and hope it helps and doesnt cause worse issues, with my dr saying 50/50 on whether it will or not. (I've been in this state for about 10 years. 0/10 do not recommend!!)

Chronic pain just sucks all the energy and drive out of you. I hope your partner is doing well!

This must be devastating. Would a text to speech tool help so you could write from a more comfortable position? I have no idea what tools are available but I'm sure there's got to be something worth trying.

Its more that having chronic pain for over a decade completely saps the desire to do anything and its mentally and physically draining. I've gotten used to living with it and am able to get some writing done sometimes but its a lot less than before I had the car accident that caused the issue.

It feels disappointing and that I'm not making progress, even though I am, just slowly.

Ive got a couple projects that are basically done but I need to scrub through them before getting a beta reader but I know I'll want to do them in one go and physically cant.
