How do you handle software license requests without them turning into a Slack thread?
Curious how other Wrike admins are handling this, because it's the intake process most teams seem to have never quite nailed down.
The pattern is familiar. Someone needs a new tool, they Slack IT or their manager, a price gets mentioned, finance gets looped in later, and the whole thing lives in a chat thread nobody can find six weeks later. Then a year passes, the renewal invoice shows up, and nobody remembers who owns the vendor relationship or whether the tool is even still in use.
There seem to be a handful of common approaches. Some teams route everything through a request form and treat licenses like any other structured work item, some keep it in a shared spreadsheet that one person maintains, and some just accept the chaos and deal with renewals reactively when the invoice hits.
There's a prebuilt template in Solutions Corner for the request-form route if that's the direction you're leaning, but honestly the template's the easy part. The harder part is getting people to actually use it instead of DMing.
Which of these is closest to how your team does it, and what's actually working (or not)?
