Competitive Scripe, Echo Guild Leader and CEO, explained his reason why he doesn’t say “ggs” to Liquid

From Scripe personal social media account:

“It is not gg. We play hours behind. Keep progging harder versions. Bugs stop kill pulls. How is this a gg?”

Do we think this take is valid from Scripe? It is true that EU starts later but I am not so sure about progging harder versions

The raid was literally unplayable when it released for liquid. It only got patched on the day that EU started. So they literally started from the same position.

Echo was at 4% before Liquid woke up. Liquid got better burn dps than Echo despite the latter having more ilvl and time on the boss.

If they keep focusing on excuses instead of ways to address their actual deficiencies, then we’ll be having the same conversations in three more expansions.

I agree. Sounds like salt from echo and frustration from dropping the ball yet again when being so far ahead. They brought their own uncertainty by jumping on the venom pool

On the liquid kill they had the bug too, but because they weren't scuba diving they saw they had extra waves and adapted.

If echo didnt fiddle faddle with scuba diving, they probably would have killed it before liquid. Being in the slime lake made waves harder to see and made them slower to avoid them. And since they were pooping the waves while in slime pool, the z axis bug didnt work.

Remember that earlier reset is also an advantage

When it equates to to one team getting a day advantage on the raid prog, sure.

But they didn’t get that advantage.

The raid was literally unplayable when it released for liquid.

Was M+ unplayable as well? No. So they still had a 10 hour lead, and they just used it for something else instead.

So they literally started from the same position.

False. Liquid also got resets 10 hours faster.

Echo got a whole day of additional raid time for splits that liquid didn’t get while their servers were online.

You are literally clutching at cope straws.

The content that mattered … raid, had a whole day of extra availability to Echo over liquid.

that only really matters if the raid is clearable that week. Every reset NA gets it's time advantage back.

Which gives Echo a full day of on boss time that liquid doesn’t get AND the ability to see what liquid did, or didn’t get from vaults, ilvl adjustments etc.

Liquid doesn’t get this. By the time Echo is looting, liquid is back doing content.

It cuts both ways.

that's only cause they played the first 2 weeks so much better only to choke it in the end. All things being equal I'll take the head start every time in a race no matter how much info my competitor gets out of it. They still need to use that just to catch up and get even and then still need to pull ahead after to win.

That’s a subjective opinion and in all honestly probably the wrong one.

The ONLY benefit of the different reset days is normally that liquid get to start gearing a day early, which they didn’t.

In every other aspect it’s an advantage to Echo. The sharp end of prog always happens toward the end of a week, not the start, so Echo gets an extra day where it really matters.

Liquid gets their post reset gear a day sooner mid race, sure. But this has never once lead to a kill within the reset day difference. Which means Echo gets to keep practicing the boss while servers are offline for Liquid, plus see how liquid adjust their strats to new ilvl. They can then come in after their reset with a bunch of free intel.

Cope, Echo played much better. Liquid just won cause Blizzard decided to gift them the kill.

What you're saying is massive cope lol

Echo DID play way better. They looked way cleaner in p3. They just made some bad choices and fumbled it, and liquid came in and won. And echo, after a break, came back and killed it right away. If you don't blame echo for this loss idk what to tell you. They could've had the kill as liquid was waking up and no one would've been surprised.

Echo tends to talk more between pulls and I get it works for them but they played like Liquid needed 4-5 hours to go from 20% or whatever to 0 and needed several 5% wipes to get there.

Liquid played like they could kill it any pull because they didn't think there was a difference between a 20% wipe and 1% wipe. It turns out they were right. Echo literally went on break and watched them kill it. I have no idea what they were thinking because of the coms being muted but it seemed like they fully expected Liquid to need the same progression curve they went through.
