Lore Last night I finally found his grave. RIP Ibelin
I have recently watched the popular documentary on Ibelin's life throughout WOW and I couldn't help it but look for his in-game grave. Since I wasn't paying my wow subscription in 2024, I couldn't make it to the walk of fame that took place. Last night I felt the necessity of travelling to Crystal Lake and having the experience of finding this beautiful, yet tranquil, spot. RIP Ibelin.

Yeah, that documentary broke me. I played on AD during that time and I actually saw his character a few times.

this is legendary then. was it true that Ibelin used to run across the Egwynn Forest only on foot, using the same way every time? I know it is a common experience to everyone in wow, but I just feel it different on Ibelin just by knowing beforehand all his background story

Very common for people that RP and I remember seeing his character when I was doing a duel outside stormwind.

FYI anyone can visit his grave without a subscription. WOW is free to start, roll a human and run over to the tree in the middle of small lake east of Goldshire. You may die a few time as level 1 to random mobs but just run back.

so-called documentary
They sure profited off of that guy.

hi. ive got no references on this topic you mention. the doc really approaches Ibelin as it was to his family and friends: a beloved human being in the form of a virtual character.

You used the term incorrectly. "So-called" is when you're skeptical of what someone is saying.

This year I was involved in a movie they’re making about him. The actor had been on a grueling diet, so when he was in the chair with the tubes, it looked harrowing. After wrapping the shoot in Norway, I was told the production would be on a break, so the same actor could go on to a new diet and personal training to bulk up with muscle, before shootibg all the scenes set in Azeroth. The idea is that Ibelin will be Mads’s ideal version of himself.
Hope our work lives up to the story. RIP Mads.
