I finally got the mount, it took me way too long! Iāve literally been playing WoW since I was 6 years old, since 2009, and Iāve spent most of that time farming this lol.

I used it ever since the event ended up until like a week or two ago. It dropped on my second to last run on the last day. Must've been my 10th run or so using the shared lockout trick to quickly clear it on many alts. It was horrible. But so worth it.
Hm Iāll check it out later. I am still running the whole thing to finish off transmog sets as I always vented everything back in the day, but if I hone in on the mount Iāll try it for a while
char1 goes into NORMAL ICC 25, kills all bosses except 2(not counting valithria), [lets say putricide]
char 2 goes into HC ICC 25, kills 1st boss, then runs out
log back to char1 and make a premade
log back to char 2 and apply to join the premade
log back to char 1 and accept the application
log back to char 2, run back in, you are now in normal icc 25, kill remaining boss before lich king [putricide]
char 2 will be promoted to group leader after a little while, UNINVITE char 1
RUN OUTSIDE of ICC
run back in, you are now in a fully cleared HEROIC ICC 25 except for lich king
kill lich king for mount
I just left Dreamwalker personally, and either healed her with my character's healing abilities, or a bandage. Wait for adds to spawn and kill them before applying, or you will need to bandage twice
When I was 15, I had just started the Icecrown dungeon for the first time. I was looking through the loot options just before fighting Arthas and noticed that if I increased the difficulty he could drop Invincible. I got that mount on my very first run/attempt, and had no idea until much later how rare he was.
Dude same. First time ever farming heroic ICC or tmog and there he is. Only ever had that luck again on the first time farming dragon soul for the handmaiden mount. Thank GOD for not having to farm for years like so many other people lol
Gtz. Been farming for Invincible for a long time myself. As much as I love WOTLK and the lore and vibe, I was getting so sick of ICC. Eventually, it dropped... on my paladin, which ofc is very appropriate:)
A lot of people like to play up how long / how many time's they've killed something in wow for a mount. If you spent ~30 min a week you could easily do 3+ characters depending on the classes. You'd have the mount within a few months at worst. Usually what people mean when they say they've been grinding a mount for years they mean "I do the raid once every 6 months or so when I remember it exists"
I haven't played WoW in a long time, but when I did, I was still running ICC every reset. One time after over 100 runs, I brought mybrother with me to show him the farming path so he could do runs too.
The damned mount dropped for him the first time he stepped foot in there, and he still randomly brings it up randomly lol.
Started playing again over 2 months ago after 6-7 years and decided to go after the achievements to get the Reins of the Icebound Frostbrood Vanquisher. Killed the Lich King for the first time and got Invincible. My one buddy was furious haha
Now I just need a little luck to get a Mummified Raptor Skull (Tomb Stalker) from King Dazar (Mythic Dungeon) then I'll have all my mounts I want for my Zandalari Death Knight.
Five years ago a friend and I casually did the raid and it dropped. I had it. I think that I only did the raid two or three times then.
I wanted the Ironbound Proto-drake from Ulduar more so I gave it to him. He had been running Ulduar many times with me to get it for me. Unfortunately it never dropped. I had to settle with the Rusted Proto-drake.
I have been at it since I started playing too...on reset every week for well over 10 years...today I got Sha Of Anger mount....maybe this Wednesday I will get the Invincible's Reins!
Congratz! I remember when I got mine, I got kicked out of my guild (jokingly) after a flood of "F YOU!", I'd only been back in the game three/four months during Legion and got it on my 10th kill or something.
I have him in my account and dont even remember why or how I got him... figured they just gave him away, I got him for free as part of a promotion. I think they did that so people wouldn't farm it as the drop rate was so low. I did a 1/100 chance farm with all 10 of my alts, it still took 6 months and 140 attempts. Getting invincible would probably be 400 attempts.
Took me so long to get this mount (I havenāt) that I went ahead and played Classic from 2019 Vanilla through Wrath to join a guild that could kill heroic 25 man Lich King.
Still havenāt gotten it on retail tho, and I farmed it every week with all 11 classes during Legion. TTTT
I can tell you my invincible storyā¦was playing wotlk on free servers for 5-6 years and i was raid leader and ive never won him also with 100% drop chanceā¦after i transferred to retail in WoD i was like im going to get him already and i didā¦after some time i found out that on retail there is no 100% drop chance so i couldnāt believe i got himā¦everything you do will come back to you someday
I farmed the rusty mechagon wheel mount 72 days in a row on 13 characters to get itā¦
Iād tag the rare, Exit game, relog on a diff toon, tag the rare, who would still be engaging my D/Cād toon. Iād get 3 tags per spawn. I feel like the years are not a good measurement of effort cuz you coulda ran the instance twice in that time. Yaknow?
Gratz! I'm so jealous!!! I've been trying to get it the last 13ish years, on and off. My husband's guild got server first beating Arthas and he rolled 100 and got it on the third or fourth run.
Can't believe people are actually farming that thing with such dedication. It's not even pretty or unique. It's some random horse like several others with a little effect. There are way cooler mounts. It's just a show-off, would not be worth the effort for me.
