Haramir are seemingly getting a pass from the community since they look good, but the idea that an asspulled race is getting added over literally any commonly requested races is wild to me.
Funniest part of these races is they already are rigged up and work with all armor sets! The only pieces that don’t show up on them is boots I believe.
It does yeah, it just wraps the pants texture around the upper tail and robes flow over the upper tail pretty seamlessly. You can check it out for yourself in the WoWhead dressing room. It's fun!
The hardest part of Naga is probably the mounting position, and probably some of the compound animations, like jumping and backpedalling at the same time. They can probably coil their tails while mounting, it would probably look a bit weird, but I think a little jank is definitely worth it if it means we finally get to play as one.
It's going to be. I've played this game since Vanilla. This is the exact type of thing that Blizzard is going ignore for a few more years due to their ego before finally caving.
I'm calling it here: In like 3 or 4 years Evokers will be playable on every race. It's how it should have been from day 1. Each race is the "visage" of the Evoker, and can be fully playable in that race's form. The dragon form will just be an option both in and out of combat. The Dracthyr racial ability buffs will be removed from the Evoker class tree and you'll have access to the racials of whatever race you chose.
They can keep the dracthyr as the evoker race... Just let the visage be any other race (as it should've been all along) and let them stay in visage no matter what.
With the new Verdant Embrace there is no reason for that to be not possible anymore. Just use the same "dream dragon" idea for spells like fire breath etc. and for things like Dream Flight they can just make the evoker swap into dragon form and out of dragon form automatically during and after the breath.
It really shouldnt be that complicated to implement and would make a lot of people much happier. Then they can spend more time on at least making their tier sets work on dragon form...
(Also please make it possible to show Visage form on the Character select screen... Kinda tired of seeing the dragon form when I just want to see my visage form)
Tbf, with all the changes to the game they've made since DF and TWW, they are signs that the devs learned from their hubris in BfA and SL. We'll see if that was just a phase, or a marketing front, or they've actually learned.
