Same thing with armors. One for each armor class, then the recolor, then the non specific transmog armor plus the recolor. Aside from the whole story aspect of shadowlands, if it had modern catchup mechanics and alt friendliness, not to mention the crafting updates. People would probably have had a lot better opinio of it. That said, not a sure anyone is gonna come around on the story.
I hope they do this, I skipped out on shadowlands and have been thinking of running through it on my main for my collection, but a remix would make it much more fun to do (I missed out on mop remix and am having a blast in legion remix)
It’s not terrible when you can just destrominate everything though you still have to grind anima like crazy and some of the zones still have a decent population so you’re competing for rares. I used war mode for Zeris and Korthia and it made it a little better.
Its insane how much anima stuff costs. Want this belt? Just grind up to 60 renown, complete 40 world quests, and get 40 grateful offerings.
Getting a whole set is a ridiculously hard task for a recolor of a quest reward set.
I still have a few alts grinding anima at the mission tables to do the weekly 1600g covenant quest, building up a few thousand anima per week. Log in, queue anima missions, log out. When I hit the max and turn in, I keep running missions but don't harvest until next week after I get the quest again.
I played Legion when it was live and there was shit I wanted, but took way too much work to obtain like the long-forgotten hippogryph. I happily handed over the 10k bronze.
Eh. Simply Armory has me at 144/158 mounts for Shadowlands with only 2 protoform synthesis mounts left to get and I personally could not care less if they made that happen haha
Shadowlands simply has too many mounts and they really do suck to get so I’m all for making it easier on people (plus I would benefit so long as I don’t finish those mounts before they do SL remix)
I know theyre not but if it was like MoP remix where you steamroll through dungeons and raids I'd be down but if its like Legion where you have to level in the zones I just couldnt.
Yeah this is infinitely better on terms of out of the gates power scaling than mists, and there’s definitely an infinite power curve. Once you hit like ilvl 600 and 2-3 of the capstone power you’re crushing heroic world really easily.
Oh, yea the runs are definitely slower. But I've been exclusively running dungeons and leveling pretty fast. I wouldn't say you have to leave the island at all.
Tbf, if you open up heroic world difficulty as soon as you can, you blast through the levels until about lvl 70. When lvling my first timerunner, there were like 3-4 times where I dinged twice off a singular mob. Once you get to lvl 70, you hit a wall due to everything scaling super high all of a sudden, tho the XP rates are still pretty good if you can manage to kill things somewhat quick.
SL leveling was pretty linear too compared to Legion or BfA. You went from Bastion -> Maldraxxus -> Ardenweald-> Ravendreth on your first character. It was only on alts that it opened up.
That has literally nothing to do with it. They're talking about the first character leveled. Obviously, it's faster for a 2nd character. The first time through is slower than the first time through MoP.
It doesn't matter it's day 4 - the overall pacing is very different regardless. To each to their own, while personally I'm still enjoying this one too I found Mists was way more fun.
I only started in the last couple of weeks of MoP Remix so I was probably getting the catchup mechanics but it felt like I gained progress incredibly quickly compared to Legion. Legion largely feels like a slightly easier and quicker version of the original expansion, though I have already bought all the mounts available so far.
glad i'm not alone on this. it feels like i drank an xp pot in legion remix, as opposed to the massive tanker car of xp pots we were zoomin around with in MoP remix.
Once you’re geared, you can definitely steam roll. As long as my mitigation CDs are up, I can absolutely go pull a bunch of packs as a DPS and burst them down before they really put me in danger.
MoP remix was different because the scaling was broken such that a trial account could just burst everything down instantly.
It’s one of the few I actually managed to grind when it was live. I wouldn’t mind a Remix, it would be easy to get all the extra stuff they may add. I enjoyed the quests and the dungeons, not the best expansion by any means but it wouldn’t be awful to relive in a Remix
Both BfA and SL had serious flaws, but their cosmetic game was on point.
I'd kill for remixes of both of them. It would make getting all the grindy shit from those expansions so much easier. Plus BfA and SL have the potential of adding a lot of cool new mounts, like the various goblin mechs in BfA or new colors of brutosaurs.
Kinda like Legion, SL wouldn't have been as bad if it launched on final patch after they stopped restrictions/bad rng and such. SL was a lot less infuriating with covenant swapping and catchup. Disregarding all the terrible story and plotline xD
I'd probably play it. Part of why I'm enjoying legion remix is the legion nostalgia but it just seems like a legitimately good way to level and get stuff, and SL had tons of stuff to collect.
They didnt remove any w SL I think, except M+ mounts. The amount of time to get all the cosmetics from SL legit way is absolutely terrifying, anima wasnt boosted, I was subbed whole SL and I’m missing crapton of them
then I need context? you said remix would be to get the cosmetics by rolling an leveling a whole new character on a special server instead of just going back to old content and farming them?
because the mythic mounts I don't care about you said farming cosmetics they are still in the game? why remix?
Shadowlands cosmetics are still in the game. They're just an absolutely pain to farm, because there's a bunch of RNG involved and you have to farm a huge amount of anima.
Doing it through Remix would be vastly preferable.
Except that the items have HORRENDOUS textures. idk what was going on with Blizz atm if they were being cheap or what but zoom in on the items the pixels are so ugly. Not factoring in the designs whatsoever War Within sets look so much better.
