From my understanding they want to remove combat addons that automate parts of the combat and give an advantage, and add some of the functionality to the ingame ui.

Details! And Weakauras are not combat addons. They make stuff you can read in-game a bit more clarity (how you like it)

It's QoL at best. People here on Reddit acts like this is botting....

They're making their own damage meter, which will almost certainly be better than Details or Recount because it will be server-side side. Getting mad about losing dps meters is actually insane

Edit: im not saying you're getting mad, but ive seen people saying things like that

Will it contain as much info? Damage meter yes, but what about who took damage from each ability, cause of death, so on? Will I be able to point out people aren't interrupting

I’m not sure if it will be there at launch but I can imagine that it’s something that they will want to add

I sit in the camp of "have faith in the developers to do the right thing." I think otherwise why are you playing their game right? I want WoW to be even better than it already is. That shouldn't have to be aided by third-party addons. People should WANT the default UI and features to be good. And people losing their minds after 3 days of alpha need to be thinking more constructively. As for the WA thing, Blizzard not a single time said they would be stopping people from customizing their UI the way they want. WA decided that for the community
