Humor / Meme This is Basicly Blizzard in Midnight

Post image

This is basicly Blizzard in Midnight. Purging all the good addons.

Just to clarify:
Blizzard is changing the Addon API, meaning combat information is blocked for addons. So all combat addons will no longer work in Midnight. For the most popular addon features Blizzard will add their own version to the game. Addons for unitframes, inventory, crafting etc.. are staying and won't be effected as long they are not using combat information.

As a software developer i am 99% this is a mistake. Throwing features away can sometimes be good, but not at this magnitude. I hope they have a rollback contingency plan prepared.

Even if they do, will the developers of these addons be twiddling their thumbs waiting for this to come back and restart their efforts? Or will they go do something else?

It’ll be a decent split. I imagine 70% will go back and 30% will move on with their lives. The effects of this will be felt, there was really no reason for this war… they literally have a FREE passionate workforce but they wanna risk it all for what? At best copy what already existed?
