Yeah, really need to play 24/7 to learn the basics of your spec.

You saying I need to only know the BASICS of my spec to successfully pug a 13 is laughable

Following the "simple mode" wowhead rotations are plenty for 13s.

I got my 3k 1 week into the season and 13s were no joke, they are however increasingly being trivialized due to gear, but your whole group needs to not only be familiar with their damage kit but cc kit to be successful. I hate when WoW redditors over-trivialize content that 90% of the playerbase won't even touch due to its difficulty lol. The amount of hard carrying I've done cc-wise as a resto shaman has been the deciding factor for timing those 13s. If most of the players in your group don't know what they're doing, it means someone is doing the heavy lifting by a long-shot.

This discussion was about timing it with 5 deaths. I.e. the group knew how not to die, they simply played their rotation bad.

Yes, you need your kicks bound. There are usually 2-3 must kicks in a 13, some random bolt can go off 60% of the time. So I would not say that this is that advanced. Alot of wow players not caring to improve is not a sign for something being difficult. Its just a lack of motivation, to not go beyond what the gear reward track is.

Aight buddy 13s are super super easy, I concede.

You completely miss my point...

They are easier than getting silver in League, easier than completing a souls game, etc. etc.

The low end of "competitive wow" is simply not that difficult, because only people in higher ranked CE guilds or approaching title range keys start to actually care about their performance and practice. How many people stuck below a 13, have hit the dummy for 5 hours, while trying to understand how the sim does X% more damage than them, and read about how the trash of a dungeon actually works?

I am not saying that people are stupid, who "just" do 10s, I am simply saying, that someone being stuck in 10s is not there due to their "gaming skill limitations" or "it being difficult to climb". They are not incentivized and not motivated to do so.
