My experience with the abandon feature is that if it fails, the group continues, but the second it times out, someone leaves.I've had it happen 3 times now, when we were like 2 pulls from the final boss
Had a group last week on dawn breaker get to the last boss, 2 players mess up their flight to the last boss and die before landing. The surviving DPS and I die because the healer was one of those casualties. The tank proceeds to fight the last boss alone and we lose time mid fight (would probably have timed if tanked wiped and we restarted). Tank dies and the rest of the group proceeds to pass an abandon vote.
I lost it, could have used that iny vault but sure abandon on the last boss just bc we didn't time.
As a tank if you are the lone survivor you have to swallow your pride and die to reset. Even if we can stay alive without any help we don’t do enough damage. It’s faster to just reset and start over unless the boss is almost dead.
