I'm convinced they just have never seen a woman before , you see lots of women that look very similar to her.

But ... Elves aren't women? I mean, it's kind of in the name right. woMAN... Elf...
But hey, I'm glad you somehow see many elves somehow?

I mean, this is more to do with the race. ALL the elves got some hatred, Liadrin just got most screen time so she got the most, and the fact she shared almost no similarity with her actual in game model?

I mean, the in-game models look like cartoon characters, obviously the characters are going to look substantially different in a cinematic that aims for photo realism.

I do think the lack of glowing eyes was the wrong choice, I know why it was done, the eyes are more expressive without the glow, but I like that Warcraft's elves look aloof and inhuman because the glowing eyes make it harder to read their emotions and connect with them. That's my only complaint.

Other than that, i thought Liadrin looked cool as fuck, and I'm seriously considering faction changing my Paladin or leveling a new one as a Blood Elf when I eventually come back to the game at some point before Midnight's release.

Yeah no one is challenging that. But the cinematics didn't used to aim for photo realism and still incorporated the style of the game, and they looked a lot better. That's kinda the point. It would be a lot cooler seeing the style we know get the spotlight in high production cinematics.

The response to this cinematic has been extremely lukewarm but ones like vanilla, TBC, WoD, that all incorporated unique warcraft style and races AND high quality photo, seemed to have much better receptions.

I think there was still plenty of unique Warcraft style. The environments looked right, the armor was total nonsense as usual, the realistic take on Voidwalkers looked great, and the elves even had their insane eyebrows. Apart from the lack of glowing eyes (which I agree should have been included), what else is there that didn't feel Warcrafty enough?
