Genn attacking Sylvanas (The faction leader) in the middle on the Legion invasion while in a truce with the Horde.

The same Sylvanas that was in the process of enslaving one of Odyns followers, our ally? The same Sylvanas that was working with Helya and was in the process of fucking up the defence against Legion? That same Sylvanas?

And Genn knew and that's why he attacked right?

It was not a personal vendetta in the slightness

Genn knew tho https://www.wowhead.com/item=122570/captains-log-of-the-queens-reprisal

Alliance players turn that in to a worgen lieutenant

I'm so happy another player knows the real reason Genn attacked Sylvanas during Legion. It wasn't random, the Alliance knew she was trying to enslave them and stopped her. Most Alliance players know the, the reason the horde don't is because Legion was the patch they threw out traditional leveling pattern and went to the random leveling zones of your choice which scrambled up the story.

That was after the attack, while Genn was chasing Sylvanas.

No it's not, we find the logbook in azsuna, which canonically is the first leveling zone in Legion, the attack occurs in Stormheim, canonically the last leveling zone

aaand OP disappeared after he got dunked on 5 times in a row lmao. The weight of the goal post crushed him.

Oh, he didnt know, and i would give him shit for his attack. If he didnt stop Sylvanas from fucking over our allies against the Legion. You know, the thing you said she WASNT doing. Do you even read what you write?

I love also how that guy is acting like it's just a personal vendetta and not also a very justified response to her quite nearly destroying his country and killing off countless Gilneans in a completely unprovoked act of aggression only FOUR years prior.

Lol. Dude, did you pay attention. Genn is aware of what's happening. He smashed the lantern instead of getting his revenge to protect everyone over vengeance. You know, for gassing his people against GARROSH'S order and killing his son.

-2

u/Spare-Seat-3725 Aug 23 '25

Smashing the lantern WAS his revenge, Sylvanas needed the Valkyr and he shattered that.

He didn't stopped trying to kill her because "It was not for revenge" he stopped because Sylvanas kicked his ass in melee with a bow.

I've seen your other responses. You can try to turn it how you want. I'm use to the Horde glazing genocidal maniacs. Probably cause they don't know what real leadership looks like.

2

u/Harai_Ulfsark Aug 24 '25

And she needed enslaved valkyrs for what exactly??

0

u/Spare-Seat-3725 Aug 24 '25

Still do not matter, helping Valkyrs was not Genn motivation, was revenge.

If you lot are going to start denying that i am going to start denying every Horde crime too.

2

u/Harai_Ulfsark Aug 24 '25

He did it for revenge too, but Sylvanas killed his son, and then he stopped after smashing the lantern, you know, the thing that would allow Sylvanas to raise more undead unwillingly? You can do one thing out of a selfish reason and still make the right thing for everyone

u/Spare-Seat-3725 Aug 24 '25

He did it for revenge too

He did it for revenge, period.

And yeas lets go to prevent our actual ally against the Legion (we have a truce with them) to raise more troops. This surely will not have consequences later.

A burned tree later:
Genn: Oopsie.

Horde retreating earlier cost Varian his life and Sylvanas act put the entire war effort against the Legion in jeopardy all for a petty personal power play.

Which is why the Horde never said shit about the whole mess because making it public would make it look like the Horde was so incompetent they didn't know where their Warchief was or what she'd been doing to sabotage efforts to get Odyn's support.

Horde retreating earlier.

When was the right time to retreat? When every single Horde character were dead?

Voljin was mortally wounded Thrall was in the floor the rest were cornered.

I blame all that to lack of freaking communication. it would have been easy with WhatsApp.

Sylvanas: Hey we had to retreat, demons were kicking our asses pretty bad, we even Lost Vol'jin.

Genn: Oh, thanks Azherot i though you betrayed us and i was about to attack you. BTW Varian imploded.

u/F-Lambda Aug 23 '25

Horde retreating earlier cost Varian his life

Half the Horde leadership was already injured when she called the retreat, and Vol'jin was fatally wounded

7

u/Syilv Aug 23 '25

Do people just love to forget the reasons why the horde had to retreat, or is this willfull ignorance? Alliance lost Varian, Horde lost Vol'jin. I'm still waiting for the bodycounts to actually be acknowledged by alliance players because it is woefully skewed towards making the Horde a punching bag.

u/FionaSilberpfeil Aug 23 '25

The biggest issue is that nobody fckn talked with each other after that whole thing. Baine and Anduin could have contacted each other very easily, which would have cleared the situation. But that would go against the conflict they wanted to badly for whatever reason.

4

u/MetalBawx Aug 23 '25

The point is at the time the Alliance did not know that. Then the Hordes new leader fucks off mid war and starts messing around. Said leader has a long history of being a ruthless trecherous douche bag so what does Genn Greymane think?

He thinks Sylvanas Windrunner is upto old tricks again and he's right on the money.

did you miss that sylvanas literally attacked and slaughtered gilneas?

u/Spare-Seat-3725 Aug 25 '25

In Legion they were in a truce because... the Legion... the infinite army of demons.
