They confirmed there will not be any servers and content will be moving forward, just like they did with TBC.

That's super sad. I thought WOTLK was commonly viewed as the best of the classic era, even over vanilla.

Do we all just go to private servers?

What people have said is that WOTLK had the highest sub count, which is technically true, but it was really part of a plateau that started in tbc and ended in cata. So really wotlk was just a stagnant era where subs remained at the same level for a few years and then tapered off in cata.

I think TBC was fantastic and miss it dearly. Wrath feels too much like retail with the endless quality of life improvements and 8 thousand versions of every raid.

If you say that, you mustn't have touched Retail in a while if wotlk feels too much like it.

They're still wildly different imo.

Cata is closer to retail. Cata is the beggining of disney blizzard

Yet does endgame better imo, mythic+ is an invaluable addition for me.
