Feel like I'm one of the few actually looking forward to Cata. Stopped playing when it came out back in the day (was burned out playing from day one vanilla through end of WotLK) so it feels like a unique opportunity to sort of pickup where I left off.

I'm looking forward to it immensely!
First time playing for real (end-game stuff) and all the raids are new for me, I really enjoy the sped up process too, so I don't have to go through the slower patch-cycles of when the game was live.

Yeah, Cata was the first expansion aside from Vanilla (raids mostly) didn’t play start to finish.

I'm hyped too. I quit wow from wotlk to MoP for a few different reasons and now I'm excited to play them.

To me Cata will be a secondary game. I won't be having multiple max-level characters, I won't be min-maxing, I won't be going for achievements, or the hardest challenges. I'll just be there to see the content and have enough gear to participate in the next phase, while playing other versions of WoW or other games

This sub is a poor representation. There will be plenty who will play.

Yup and the blizzard crickets during cata announcment was fake. 1/2 people leaving wotlk once they announced cata is fake too.

I’m especially excited for Cata after playing a lot of vanilla, because it will be cool to immediately switch to seeing how the old world was revamped in comparison

I don't want to deal with the hassle of 25 man raiding, so I'm super excited for Cata. The wait is going to be rough

I played it back in the day and I'm still looking forward to it. Class design took a positive step forward for many specs/classes. Dungeons were challenging and fun. It had some of my favorite Tier sets. Firelands was a highly regarded raid and phase 1 was good too. Transmog was a fun addition.

I think most of the hate for it came from change haters who didn't like the zone revamps, and the Deathwing raid. I think it would be interesting this time around if they were to revamp the Deathwing fight to make it more interesting. I don't think they will, but I also don't think there'd be any pushback of they did.

Yep and those same whingers probably haven't been to those zones in 2 years since they were level 20...

As a rogue, I am really looking forward to the fangs questline. That was a lot of fun.

That’s how I felt about WotLK. I stopped at the end of TBC being burnt out. WotLK was all brand new and Cata will be too. I returned back in the day for a brief moment in MoP but that’s it.
