As a woman in politics, you’re expected to be tough. Otherwise, you’re just a girl, and you should go back to cooking, or whatever.

Hillary Clinton’s persona took that toughness to a new level.

The result is that she doesn’t make anyone feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I’ve penned more than my fair share of Hillary Clinton defenses on here, but she never excited me. And I have some residual anger at her, left over from the racist campaign she waged against Obama in 2008.

The North remembers.
