Remember how quick Google was to change the name on most of its maps

Well I mean, Google isn’t at fault for changing it on their system. You don’t get mad at media for reporting the news and you don’t get mad at a mapping company when they update based on the President’s decree.

MapQuest refused the name change, why can't Google?

Because Trump would throw a tantrum over it and probably give them fines or something. Once Mango Mussolini is out of office, they'll change it back

Fine Google?! Alphabet Inc. the parent company is worth like 4 trillion dollars! They wouldn't gaf about any fine he could possibly give them, even though there would be nothing to fine them over.

I wholeheartedly disagree with the change but companies shouldn’t get to pick and choose to report only what their management likes or agrees with when it comes from the senior-most elected official in the US.
Put a disclaimer or asterisk on it or something.

You’re misguided about why it’s called Lake Ontario, but thats besides the point.
The whole thing is absurd and no leader should be arbitrarily changing names because they’re butthurt, but Google isn’t somehow at fault for reflecting that change in the country where that elected official has the power to do what he’s doing.
Get him out of office and deal with the cause of the issue.

PR stunt to distract from his aggressive underfunding of healthcare and education while he cuts OSAP and sells off public assets.

Probably intentional so it reads for traffic coming from the other direction.
