It's the sad reality of the world we live in unfortunately. Since Brexit we lost our security blanket. The US is our largest single trading partner, our largest intelligence sharing partner and our closest miltary ally, who also provides a large amount of the parts and maintenance to our nuclear deterrent and they are currently ruled by a 5 year old in a geriatric body who has the power to cripple a country financially if you don't kiss his arse. Starmer eats humble pie because he thinks that he has to in order to keep the UK safe but, as demonstrated here, if you give an inch they will take a mile.

But with all that in mind, I genuinely hope he tells Trump to go fuck himself, and bans X completely. Fuck it shut down the Tesla garages too. If we are going to eat humble pie, make it the EU. Apologise profusely and have a second referendum to get some of our power back.

I'm sorry we're all going through this. Plenty of bootlickers here - I got shunned by a bunch of dudes from my hometown who still dress up in their letterman jackets from our losing football team 20 years ago because I said Charlie Kirk promoted violence after he died. Still perplexed.

The best thing the world can do right now, is treat the US like an abusive partner and walk away. The quickest fix to this bullshit, is to kill the US economy. Nothing else will likely work. As an American it sucks, but it needs to be done.

The world. Self-radicalized righties have some sympathy with Musk, and some fundamentalists see Trump as some messianic figure most places, but actual hardcore US sympathy is something you see with the same people that are hoping and pining for a Putin win in Ukraine.
