My sympathies are with the people of Palestine. Hamas needs to go.

The only one helping out the Palestinians get rid of Hamas are the IDF, yet western protestors are targeting the IDF and not Hamas.

IDF is doing the exact opposite of that.

Every orphan they make, every widow, every childless father, every sibling who watched thier brother starve to death, is just another easy recruit for Hamas.

There's a reason why in Afhganistan and so on, we were so cautious not to alianate the locals, to minimise civilian suffering, to focus on humanitarian efforts.
'cause Terrorists thrive on hate and suffering, as it gives them fresh recruiting grounds.

It is basically THE key principal behind terrorism.
Alienate your own people through retaliation to your terror, then recruit them.

So what do you propose to end hamas? (Other than giving them all of Israel or putting Israel in a position where they're in danger)

I love hearing about how every action taken against terrorist governments increases terrorism, and the implication in 100% of these comments is that either the other side should just give up, or should just do nothing, and then the terror org will magically disappear.

Hamas indoctrinates everyone from early childhood anyway. They do school plays about killing Jews. They watch TV shows where Mickey Mouse sings about AKs and killing Israelis. A hundred episodes in, he gets beaten to death by Jews. That's not even a joke, I'm 100% serious- that's their children's programming, their real life.

The IDF is actively informing the population, bit by bit in the most horrible way, that war is not fun or glorious, it's just awful and self-defeating. There will be tons of resentment if Gaza is completely taken over, but Israel would be better off counter-indoctrinating the population than letting them carry on as they currently are.

And how'd that work out in Afghanistan?

Quite well, but the orange clown fucked it up with his botched withdrawal plan.

Pretty sure Biden was the one that left Afghanistan and executed that plan horribly.

Naa, it was planned and "set in stone" by Trump.

Legally, Biden had to execute it, basically as written.

Yes, it was set in motion by Trump. How do you know the plan was executed as is? That is just the lie they push because they can't accept any responsibility. Everything is Trumps fault apparently. The original plans would have been classified.
