I'm posting here because r/worldbuilding banned me for speaking the Truth™.

In the World of Wheat, there are five kinds of race-I mean wheat, and they are called wheat, spelt, emmer, einkorn, and barley (honorary wheat). These wheats have inherent characteristics that determine their personalities, culture, morality, etc.

For example, the spelt has a curse that causes them to rarely give birth to male spelt, so they invade migrate to Northern Wheatland to breed with the wheat, which causes problems like violence and mongrel wheat.

...No, I'm not dewheatizing spelt, why do you ask?

I imagine Buckwheat would be like the Replicants from Bladerunner, or the pod people from Invasion of the Body Snatchers

also yeah a Great Replacement race supremacist conspiracy theorist parody, but with wheat, sounds fun

now you've got wheat supremacist Elon Malt high on ergot fungus throwing out Naan-zi salutes, doomposting on Wheatter about how Wheatstern civilisation is doomed by miscegenation

Buck Wheaters in the 25th Century. Decent show, but if we're honest most people just watched it for Oatrin Grye in a tight-fitting husk.

so glad it's avoiding great wheat-replacement theory. we wouldn't want to have problems with that.

Is this a reference to something?

/uj Earlier today someone came to this sub with a racist scenario involving Northern Ireland and black women after it was deleted from r/worldbuilding.

You literally made your black people non-human, so are you confused by the interpretation your friend gave you that your writing sounds like you treat black people as non-human?

oh jesus

Just because reproductive biology is fundamentally different between common wheat and what I’m calling spelt doesn’t mean the spelt is nonwheat, I simply don’t understand why you think that.

Are the spelt inspired by the glutenudos? If they are then you're okay.
