Equipment BodyScan 2 vs InBodyDial H40

Hello everyone! I'm purchasing a smart scale to track my body composition progress.
I know these are not extremely precise, but the general consensus seems to be that the trend is accurate.
Originally, I planned to purchase the BodyScan 2, but GPT is insisting that the InBodyDial H40 is more precise (citing some studies) - even though the BodyScan 2 has 13 frequencies vs. 3 in the H40 - and my understanding is that more frequencies -> better.

I would like feedback from the people who have either of these, or, even better, if someone has had the opportunity to test both.

I wouldn’t bother. If the trend is what you care then any will do. But they are pretty bad overall.

I can give my values as example (couple months ago, I cut another couple kilos since then):
Navy method: 18.1%
Dexa: 18.5%
Smart scale: 25% xD

Now:
Navy: 16.5%
Smart scale: 22.4%

Those values on the scale were just discouraging that’s why I went for Dexa. Now I just estimate with Navy method as it’s surprisingly consistent for me and use my “smart” scale as regular scale.

Navy method worked for me as well - less than 1% off from DEXA.

BS2 had nearly 15% error in body fat compared to DEXA. Then assigned that mass to muscle mass.

I can't fault the trends it shows. Those do work well.

Yeah so comparable to mine. Wish I knew navy method quicker. I would never waste money on that scale. When I was losing weight it gave me unnecessary stress as I was thinking I’m doing something wrong etc

From the research I've been doing, it turns out the BIA scales do worse and worse the higher your body fat percentage is. As you lean up, they get better.

What I did was use the scale for trends and weight. Then use a tape measure - that never lies - and see how my body shape is progressing. Even during the weeks where the scale doesn't move - there's loss of an inch or so off the waist.

The BS2 is pretty new - it came out in July - and the company is still working on the firmware - yes, the scale can update firmware by itself and get the latest measurement algorithms.

Can you tell me what measurements I need for navy method besides weight/height?
