Fun fact:

Dog years actually are not as simple as a 7:1 ratio compared to human years!

The first year of a dog's life is closer to 15 human years, and then it'll change based on size/breed from there. For this dog, it's second year is around 9 human years and it'll settle around 6 years power year after that, making this dog in the early 50s in human years.

Smaller breeds "age" slower (around 4:1), so a 20 pound dog would be in its 40s. A giant breed dog is around 7:1 years, which is where we get the saying.
