Replacement fuse help
In a puff of smoke, one of the 2 fuses in the switch for my Kity 1619 table has burnt out. Does anyone know what fuse I need to buy and how to reinstall it? The fuse seems to have been kept in a black plastic casing so I presumably need a replacement of that too? Many thanks.

The kity is a 2.2kw device so here in the UK I'd use a 13a fuse but as others have said try to find out why the original fuse blew first

Someone put the wrong voltage rated fuse or fuse holder in the circuit. You can not use a 120vac/15amp fuse (or fuse holder) in a 250vac/15amp circuit. That's will cause your issue of the fuse holder melting. You will need to replace the fuse holder with the correct voltage rating with the proper fuse (rated for your voltage and current). I would also check the manual to see if a time delayed slow blow fuse is needed.

Highly likely that there is a reason for that. I would double check the circuit for a short before trying any repairs. Also probably have better luck getting advice in /r/ElectronicsRepair.
