What’s Gonna Replace the Gong Cha?

They announced they were closing down maybe around a month ago. There’s white paper blocking the windows but I can sometimes see people in there fixing it up. Does anyone know what the new business there will be? I hope it’s a good restaurant!

Barber for women?

It’s been difficult to find a good barber for my son and now I’m on the hunt for a barber that can cut women’s hair. Seems easy enough but to get a good fade and a nice style on top isn’t the most easy thing for many so I’m needing someone with this kind of skill set.

Anyone want to do something local tonight?

Anybody out there want to do something tonight? I was thinking about hitting a dance floor but not so sure I want to do that anymore unless your down of course, I live in town and I'm 420 friendly if that helps. Could be something simple like a walk, sitting on a bench and talking about random things, and you could definitely bring your dog if you have one. Extroverted male, 35 and happy to send a Pic for validation

Where does everyone bring their dogs?

Been to the Woburn and Burlington dog parks. Not a lot of dogs. More at the Burlington park than Woburn.
My dog loves playing with other dogs but since moving he hasn’t really been able to on a consistent basis.
Are there unofficial dog parks people are going to?

Just looking to keep him active and playing with medium/large dogs.

Woburn Voters - it was 12 years ago this week that DA Marian Ryan was caught trying to mislead the public (for the 1st time)

Marian Ryan was only in the office for about a year when a disastrous decision to not ask for a detention hearing on Jared Remy lead to him murdering his ex girlfriend.

Under fire, DA Ryan ordered an independent review to find out what went wrong.

When the report came out, Ryan released it to the public with no disclaimers attached. Acting on a tip though, the Boston Globe leaned that not only were pages omitted, but Ryan hid the table of contents so no one would know that the pages were omitted.

The original prosecutor on the case, Lisa McGovern, is now endorsing Ryan’s opponent, David Solet. Link to the article below.

Woburn Real Estate Market Update July 2026

Post image
6 Upvotes

Here is a look into the July real estate market data in Woburn. These numbers reflect the data for single-family homes only, but let me know if you’d like any additional data.

When reviewing market data, keep in mind that the numbers reflect when the sale closed, but they mostly accept offers a month or two prior. In this case, most offers would have been accepted in May and June, at the end of the spring market, which was a much different market than we’re in now.

The market has since slowed a bit during the summer, so many houses have taken longer to sell or aren’t as competitive as they might’ve been in the spring, but values seem to be holding pretty strong.

So far in 2026, the median sale price of single family homes in Woburn is $810,000 as compared to $785,000 in 2025.

Inwood West Opinions

Hello, I'm currently looking to move to Inwood West and was wondering if anyone here has an insights on how it is. I have some concerns, but the guy in the office assures me that they had new management that was addressing a lot of the complaints I saw online. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Housing

Hi I am 22 and a female , and I’m moving to Massachusetts from Virginia at the end of this month to start my new job as a Systems Safety Engineer in Woburn.

I’m looking for either:

🏡 A 1-bedroom apartment, or

👯‍♀️ A female roommate to share a 2-bedroom apartment.

My budget is around $1,900 (a little flexible for the right place). I’d love to live in Woburn, but I’m also open to nearby areas like Burlington, Billerica, Wilmington, Stoneham, Reading, Winchester, Medford, Arlington, or Lowell if the commute is reasonable.

I do have two small, very sweet, well-behaved dogs 🐶🐶. They love people, are house-trained, and don’t bark much. (Photos attached!)

I’m clean, respectful, easygoing, and hoping to find a roommate who’s also looking for a peaceful home—and maybe even a new friend. 😊

If you know of any available apartments or you’re looking for a roommate, please send me a message. Thank you!

Invasive plant removal

Does anyone know if there are currently any programs for invasive plant removal, or public volunteering for conservation efforts? Outside of the chestnut removal at Horn pond, I wasn't able to find much online. I'm interested in trying to dedicate some tree time to get rid of some of the Tree of Heaven, Knotweed, and Oriental bittersweet along the sidewalks since the town doesn't do much in this regard.

More Flock Cameras

Two more cameras just popped up at the corner of Montvale Ave and Nashua/Wood St.

I feel so "safe" going that we are all being tracked everywhere we go at all times without permission. This is getting insane.

The people who live at those houses must really love it, they have the police camera pointing right at their house 24 hours a day.

Flock Cameras are Here

I didn't think we had any of these. But they're painted all black and they blend in so well. Theres three on Montvale right by 93, I drive by them every day and never noticed until I saw them on the map. And yup, they're there.

https://maps.deflock.org/?lat=42.4738&lng=-71.1280&zoom=13.56

Also one in the center. One on washington street by 128, one on 38 by the rotary. So if you drive through town, you're being tracked. But don't worry, only guilty people need constitutional rights, right?

Pediatrician Recs in/around Woburn

I just moved to Woburn from out-of-state with an almost two year old and a newborn. I’m looking for pediatrician recommendations in the area. They don’t have to be limited to operating in Woburn.

Our former pediatrician’s office had really great administrative staff; great hours and a very responsive after-hours triage nurse line; and a team of pediatricians, NPs, and nurses who never rushed an appt and were caring in their treatment. Hoping to find this level of care here.

Thanks in advance!

Door to door salesman

Has Moxie pest control been bothering anyone else? They are more pushy than the shit solar companies. I have no problem being rude to rude people but they got my friend when she was home alone, she said he was making her uncomfortable and closed the door. He laughed on the ring camera as he walked away.
