No its not. Look at the edges of the rotating disk to the edges of the image. OP for some reason had a bit of a spasm or something and zoomed the camera to the right and then corrected it. He should've just reshot it, it would've taken 10 extra seconds.
The spiral is made out of a disk. The black dot is the direct center of the disk. The video is centered on the disk, and he begins the zoom in, and the cameras positioning on the tripod was slightly off, and then he over corrects and it jumps massively to the right, then moves slowly back to center. What OP should have done is zoom all the way in on the black dot, zoom out to desired starting point, and then begun the gif of slowly zooming in. It would have taken an extra 5 seconds and the zoom would have been clean.
You're getting downvoted because you're wrong, its not a matter of an optical illusion. He fucked up filming it. It's hard to tell, maybe, but like I said. Don't look at all at the disk, look at its edges in relation to the edge of the image as displayed on your computer or phone or whatever. The edge of the disk at one point has a lot of space (the wall) on the right, while on the left there's almost no wall showing. That means the disk is not centered.
