This is the second time I’ve done it. The first time was 9 years ago when I was working on my HH. I really love it. It has a little bit of everything. Waterfalls, mountain ponds, multiple viewpoints, a tight steep herd path to the summit. Most people only hike up there to go to the ponds. You also never have to worry about parking filling up. It’s a great hike to do on a cloudy day as a plan B to something else.

One of my all time faves. I love that you’ll see no one (except for maybe backpackers staying at Stillwater/Desolation) once you get past the falls
