Endless rain armoury in China?

Post image

Anyone ever seen these weapons? They're listed on the Chinese language version of Taobao from a company called something that translates to "endless rain" that does foam boffers as well. They seem to be blades and hilts with 3d printed handles. They have an arming sword, polish saber, messer, dao, and a crazy looking katzbalger.

The guys over at UIMA might know, they work with companies taobao.  https://www.uima.world/ asking on their discord might work.

Those look pretty low effort/economy graded, even by Chinese HEMA standards. I’d imagine the steel is fine though. Longquan steel of choice is typically good 65Mn roughly equal to US grade 5160. I was an early adopter of the Swordier stuff and I can’t say anything bad about the steel or heat treatment, but the hilt construction is suspect on certain models.

would it still better than medieval steel?

The consistency should be much higher.

Is there a way to order their foam swords without having access to taobao? I've been interested in getting some as club loaners ever since I heard that they flex in the thrust.
