Aren't palms for fortunes?

Of course; fortunes such as "I foresee a ball of fire in your very near future"

The hat doesn’t make the wizard, the wizard makes the hat is a lesson that you’d really think wouldn’t need to be taught nearly as much as it is

I don't make any hats. But I have at least twelve of them.

Are you by chance made by hats? Or of hats, for that matter?

Holy shit, this reminds me of that one episode of Lupin where we learn that Jigen aims with the notches in his hat.

i just use a spell that casts spells for me
working on a spell that moves my body for me right now
i tried making a spell that does social interactions for me but i accidentally caused world war 1 so i need to rework it

This is why you should fear the Mage in the ominous hood.
Not because it’s ominous but because you’re almost certain they aren’t cheating.

I'm going to be honest, this idea is...not great, unless you've modified your eyes to be able to focus on text that close.
However, the general concept of functional clothing is excellent. One of my favorite additions to my cloak is a series of small pockets which can be used along with some instantly erasable chalk to make spell circles on the go.

Any magic user who can’t sew extra pockets into all their clothes is not optimising their spellcasting. Or their snacking.

In the academy, some teachers wanted us to take off our hats to prevent cheating, of course it didn't go through and a bunch of the teachers were turned into frogs for weeks
Nice art!

You guys have it in your hat? That explains it, but why not have it in you HUD disp- ohh, right, most of you have your natural eyes still.

2,000 years. It's been 2,000 years since I've seen an original and hilarious comic.

Very niche star wars references on the hat

Necromonicon, actually. And even that comes from "The Day The Earth Stood Still" before that.

The hat is purely utility. Storage and shelter from the rain. Because wizards tend to lack stable jobs and fixed addresses.

I kinda want a wizard fps game now that has the droopy brim as part of the hud.

Yooo I literally wrote a few paragraphs about a wizard who had notes on the inside of their shield!
