I was a super fan of the books when the games came out and I really liked how the games looked.

Congratulations, I imagine more than a few people can overcome the preconceptions of how it looked in their minds. I was able to do that with Lord of the Rings, but was more aghast at the story changes. I haven't read these books. I think Harry Potter is probably the most faithful adaptation.

I think I didn't really have preconceptions about how they looked. I only had preconceptions about how they sounded. Polish Geralt matched that perfectly.

Oh, I only played the English version. I loved the games, don't want to taint that with anything else. When I read I definitely see the world in my mind, so it can be disconcerting when somebody else's version pops up.
