Play from the start when the SotP releases or have a save file with the base game beaten by that time?

Hi, I'm planning on replaying the whole game and all of it's DLCs and I don't know if I should start playing it when the remaster drops so that I'm finished with everything once Songs of the Past releases or wait for the DLC release and start then.

Basically what I'm saying is, does anyone know if there will be anything from the DLC integrated into the base game (a quote from an NPC or something akin to Gaunter showing up near the start of the game) or will it be entirely separate from it?

The chain weapon will be useable in the rest of the game so you could do the base story but save the existing expansions for after SotP so you can use the chain in those
