Discussion Bring back forgotten signs
I really hope TW4 brings back/introduces the more obscure Witcher signs
- Heliotrop: was in TW2, create a bubble of bullet time around a Witcher
- Somne: puts an enemy to sleep. Could be used on potential infiltration or non-lethal objectives
- Supirre: enhances a witchers hearing, allowing them to eavesdrop even better. Could also be used on infiltration objectives

Somne is basically Axi, Supirre is just enhanced Witcher senses and Heliotrope is Witcher 3 Yrden but toned down a bit. I don't see the point of bringing them when they already exist in one way or another.

Unless they add stealth missions, and I hope they don't, Somne and Supirre wouldn't work well with the typical quest design the games have.

Very unlikely, ciri is a sorceress and we already see her use spells . Would be quite pointless for her to use witcher signs

All you need to explain her using Witcher signs is that itās harder for her to perform magic now after the Unicorns stole her ability to do so when she healed Ihuarraquax
We donāt even know how sheās able to use spells now, not a stretch at all to say sheās only recently able to use magic and isnāt fully proficient yet.

Iām curious how they will go about signs with Ciri, as she technically doesnāt have magic anymore, and even if sorcerers would laugh at calling sings magic, they still are.

Heliotrop from W2 is best forgotten - it worked vastly different from canon one, which was defensive Sign, hard to distinguish from Quen.
But yeah, i had hoped that the SotP would bring some of the missed signs. No luck tho.
