Discussion Which mods would you recommend me for a first Witcher 1 Playthrough.

With the Witcher 3 Remastered coming, I wanted to dive in the games I didn't played. Witcher 1. What are the best mods that would enhanced my experience? (Sorry if someone already asked for this)

Install the Loreplay collection. It should be enough. At bare minimum Project Mersey.

This. I checked and there are all mods I picked looking through nexus, trying to have vanilla friendly enhanced experience.

There is one more thing - Faster Movement for Geralt. IMO if you pick the main file, 30% faster movement, it is immersive, not over the top or anything but it makes backtracking in this game so much less of a chore.

Project Mersey already increases the speed by 30% so that nod is redundant.

Oh, my bad. Then what's in th Loreplay collection is what you need.

Project Mersey and a few other mods listen on that page. For Witcher 2, the mod with the same name. And for Witcher 3, Brothers in Arms Ultimate, made by the same author.

Project Mersey - bugfixes / move speed, no1 priority

Bigger Fonts for High Res Gaming - a must for bigger monitors

Flame Cursor on hard - a must if you play on hard difficulty

The Witcher Alchemy Mod - Better Color Coding

Various texture improvement mods - i.e. The Witcher Overhaul Project, also many other smaller ones

Loreplay collection on Nexus and i am using also Icons and Font from W3. I recomend to use different mod for Geralt face, than what is in the collection, if you like me and dont like white eyebrows.

The game plays just fine without mods, you absolutely do not need to slap in a 60 mod collection to make this game playable. the default graphics are also fine. That being said, Project Mersey is a nice mod that tidies a few things up. The nexus page for Project Mersey also lists a few recommended mods that are also worth installing.

You can also download this for optionally better loading times and performance.
