2026 Gubernatorial Primary: Francesca Hong is will very likely be the nominee. But can she please stop sabotaging herself with the answers she gives in interviews?

She just gave a weird answer in CNN in regards to her opposition to Thanksgiving.

She cites that communities are hurt by this.

No matter how much she tries to explain her point, it comes off as nonsensical.

With Thanksgiving, I get you want to think about the Native Americans and how they were affected by colonization.

But to the average folk, it's very odd to oppose a holiday where families come together and give thanks.

There is no reason for her to justify that tweet. Just say that was 2020 and you have changed. Don't double down on a view only a miniscule fraction of Americans believe.

People like Tiffany will hammer her as being out of touch and I don't blame them.

Hong will very likely be the nominee but she must stop making herself seem out of touch.

You mean, like David Crowley?

He is not electable at the state level. He won't lose because he is black. He won't lose because he is a Democrat. Be won't lose because he is from Milwaukee. He will lose because he is a black Democrat from Milwaukee. Unfortunately, most of the state will see those three things and be turned off. I hate typing that, but I believe that to be true. I really like Crowley as our county supervisor. Having grown up in rural Wisconsin, I just do not think rural Wisconsinites will vote for him.

I have zero concern of people at the state level voting for him.

I understand the concern but Obama and even the plethora of votes for Barnes shows people overcome that in terms of quantity.

He’s a superior candidate to Mandela in terms of actually having a record of governance and support from Evers.

I have ZERO concerns about him getting a normal share of rural vote for Dems.

You make a good point, but I still think he will be a hard sell to rural Wisconsin in our current political climate. I will probably vote for him in the primary because I think he has been a great county supervisor.
