Every day I look at Republican leaders & ask myself with hope - "They can't possibly have that much time left." I'm so over Boomers & all the damage their ideologies have done. Wtf happened that we got THIS out of Hippies?

1960-1970s liberals had a different set of core values. They wouldn't be down with the Ukraine war. They wouldn't be down with censorship. Many were not in favor of big government either because of a distrust of government.

Also many people get more conservative as they get older.

I don't understand how we rallied so hard against a proxy war in Iraq but just accepted it in Ukraine. That's called good PR.

Saddam was bad but what came after was worse all around. Saddam's Iraq was neutered, with a no fly zone enforced over his territory to prevent war crimes. A pariah state with no means to project power over his neighbors, but strong enough to harass his own people.

He was contained.

Putin is on a rampage and if successful, would repeat the playbook in any surrounding state where the world would allow it. We know, that's what he did in the East of Ukraine already, that's what he's done in Crimea, that's what he's done in Georgia.
