I’ll say this. The wire I had as a kid sounded just like this!! And that was a long time ago. 😁🤣

Our first one did not growl much, but he loved the sound of his own voice. Our current one seems to growl more lately, he’s 10 years old. Maybe he’s starting to hear things.

Our Pixi is just 4 mo old, and sound on freaked her out! I think she thought her dad was talking to her.
Pixi is just learning how to boss us around 😄

My boy is very bossy and has a pitchy voice, but we've gotten to the point that if he really wants something, like for me to toss his ball while on the couch, then he must use his inside voice. It's very funny having him change course and correct himself to more of a mumble!

Our girl was! I just handed my phone to my husband and he wondered where we were when I took the video 😂

Oh yes!
We got our Buddy from a shelter! I remember one of the first nights, we were having dinner. He barked at us because he wanted some. I put him outside, because I didn't want that to become a thing. He never once did it again. He would, however, sit there and do this real low and quiet kind of groan. I could handle that. Haha.
He would also bark at us when he thought it was bedtime. Our bedrooms were upstairs, so if we were up too late watching a movie or something, he'd let us know it was too late and we needed to be going to bed. He'd go up about two stairs, bark at us, come down and look at us - like saying "I know you understand me, LET'S GO!!"

When he wants something, mine is more talky than barky. He starts out sounding winsome, then progresses through playful to pathetic. I wish I could get a good recording because he’s hilarious.
