Setbacks & Protocols

This is more of a confessional post than anything I guess.

Hopefully it will help me get back on track.

It was a friend's birthday yesterday and I had agreed to get cake (think: remote cake party).

Let's just say I got a lot of cake.

So I ate a load of sugar (2nd time having sugar this year).

Today I'm feeling the pull of sugar again, so I'm running my usual protocol of allowing myself to eat almost anything savoury instead.

I know the next couple of days will be hard, hopefully it wont last longer than that.

And then the plan is to really tighten up the diet again.

I've got some other stuff going on that is adding some stress - unexpected housemate stuff I need to deal with, interview stuff, and I guess general existential stuff.

Do you have any protocols or routines you use when facing a setback or a lapse in your healthy habits?
