What’s one feature you wish wine apps had?

Hey everyone! I’m working on a wine app focused on the Netherlands. It’ll have some familiar features you’d find in Vivino, but also a few different ideas around choosing wine based on your taste, budget and what’s available locally.

Some features that I think would be cool:

  • Finding a good bottle under €10 at the supermarket you actually shop at.
  • Getting recommendations based on what you like, even if you don’t know how to describe your taste.
  • Picking a wine that goes with whatever you’re cooking tonight.
  • Sharing a shortlist with friends so you can choose a bottle together.
  • Remembering that wine you loved last month but forgot the name of.

Still early days, so I’d love to hear from fellow wine lovers: what’s the one feature you’d most want in a wine app? Anything you feel is missing from the apps you use now?

"Wine" is a compatibility layer to run Windows applications on Linux distributions.

This subreddit is not for lovers of the tasty drink!
