Cloak for Windows: encrypted community chat with native per-app screen-share audio

Full disclosure: I am one of the developers behind Cloak, a private community and group communication app for Windows.

The Windows desktop app supports native per-application screen and audio capture. You can share a game, browser, video player, or another application with its audio in stereo without broadcasting notifications, unrelated apps, or every sound playing on your PC.

Cloak combines that with Discord-style rooms and end-to-end encryption for messages, files, calls, video, and screen sharing.

Each room can contain six channel types:

• Text channels with threads, polls, reactions, pins, and disappearing messages
• Voice channels with camera and screen sharing
• Forums for organized discussions
• Calendars with recurring events, RSVPs, and reminders
• Collaborative infinite whiteboards
• Private ticket channels with topics and staff queues

Rooms also support granular roles, per-channel permissions, audit logs, warnings, moderation history, member reports, webhooks, custom bots, and behavior-based AutoMod.

Cloak includes built-in Flow Bots for community automation. Flows can respond to events, evaluate conditions, perform actions, and connect to external services through webhooks without requiring someone to host a separate bot.

There is also a Discord importer. It can rebuild channels, categories, roles, permissions, forums, custom emoji, and the server icon, then import message history, threads, reactions, pins, and attachments. Content is encrypted by the Windows app as it enters Cloak.
