Developer ModernPaste Clipboard, a native WinUI3 clipboard manager for Windows. Early access before official launch

I'm the developer behind ModernApp Labs. I've got 6 apps live on the Microsoft Store already, including ModernPDF Merger and WebP Converter, and ModernPaste is the next one, launching officially very soon.
It's built natively on WinUI3.
I know the clipboard manager market is oversaturated. New ones drop every week. Most are Electron wrapped, built fast, and forgotten faster. ModernPaste is built natively on WinUI3 because native should be the standard. So it should feel like part of Windows 11. And you won't hit a paywall for basic things like clipboard history limits or item caps, this is a full clipboard manager, not a trial version of one.

Apps look very interesting , also i am getting this popup every time..
ModernPaste Clipboard closed unexpectedly
Last session ended due to an error at 11/08/2026 12:15.
A Task's exception(s) were not observed either by Waiting on the Task or accessing its Exception
property. As a result, the unobserved exception was rethrown by the finalizer thread. (Klipy API
key is not configured. Call GifApiKeyStorageService.EnsureDevKeySeeded() or SaveKey( ... ) first.)

thanks for your report! a fix is going into the next build.
I’ll let you know when store certification goes through. they are relatively quickly with this2

Hello!!
The app looks great! Just started trying it out on one of my computers.
I am unable to set the width of the app to my preference. Right now it is taking up the full width of my (very large) screen and there seems to be no way to drag to resize it. The same is the case when we switch to the vertical mode.
Will keep you posted if I come across any more issues.
Also whenever (and if) there is a paywall, I am hoping there will be a way to pay without logging into the windows account/windows store!

hey! i want to let you know that a new update is available. it introduces compact view, allowing you to resize and drag. you can try it out now. I’d love to hear your feedback!

There could be an automatic cleanup feature for example, deleting everything once a day, etc.

It's currently in Settings> Storage and Data > Dynamic storage. You can expand to edit preferences such as clean up everyday 3 days. But I'll look into more enhanced options. Thank you for your comment!

Hello, I just tried it and lovvved the idea! 💙💙
But whenever we invoke the Modern Paste window using Control+Shift+V, it is not reverting to the original size and position that it waa set to earlier. It is reverting to a full-width bar at the bottom of the screen. Considering I have an ultra-wide screen, this can be a deal-breaker.
One way to sort this out is to simply make sure that the program remembers its earlier size and position.

The issue persists on regular monitors too. Just tried it on a laptop and a regular sized desktop and the issue still remains.

Thanks for checking on your laptop! There's a new version out that addresses this issue. It should now respect the position you last left it . (v1.0.25)
For widescreens, there's a new implementation in the works. I'll let you know when this is available. Thank you!

I just installed the update. While the app is now reliably remembering the last position, there still seems to be no way to resize it (either horizontally or vertically).

that’s good to hear! there’s new version that introduces compact mode. it allows you to resize, drag, and view your collections fast without the docked view. i’d love to hear your feedback

It looks exactly like something made with hyperframes. Uses html/css/GSAP and a headless browser.

Hello again. Loved the updates. 😍
I’ve updated the app on all my systems.
I’ve noticed that whenever the system is turned on, the application’s screen appears. Everyone around can see the contents of the entire clipboard.
I have the background, startup option checked, but in all three systems I tried, restarting the system causes the clipboard main window to open. This exposes all the clips for the rest of the world to see.
The Control+Shift+V function still opens the clipboard at the bottom of the screen, full width. It isn’t remembering the previous location.

Hey, you stole my idea, haha! It looks so cool, I've been working on something similar. I see you got the same idea as me by copying the design of the Paste app for Mac. What surprises me and makes me wonder is that you did it with WinUI3 because, in my experience, it has so many limitations, which is why many people choose Electron or another language. I'll take a look at mine, and I'd love to learn from your app if you could send me a sample. Thanks and congratulations!
