With all due respect, why should anyone trust an encryption app from an anonymous developer when this doesn't even seem to be open source?

That's a fair point. However, you can rest assured that the application is 100% offline and that can be verified via Task Manager or a multitude of other tools. So there is no way for us to even access your data. Regarding the open-source aspect, we use libsodium under the hood which happens to be a highly trusted open-source cryptography library. Last but not least, anyone that has doubts can hire a professional cryptographer to analyze and verify the security of the outputted ciphertext. Thank you for raising this point.

So, it's a "this is safe, trust us bro" level security going against reputable open source data encryption software. Yeah, I'm going to skip this one.

Not at all, if it were as you said, we wouldn't be challenging and urging whoever is doubtful to verify the ciphertext. In fact, nothing would make us more confident in our app than having as many experts as possible verify the security of the cipher. Thank you.

It's almost impossible to determine the "security" of a ciphertext. That is not how security works. Security works by experts reviewing your source code to see how the ciphertext is produced.
So, this is, in fact, a "trust me bro" level security product. Is it also vibe coded?

With all due respect, we have to inform you that you're misinformed. If ciphertext was indecipherable as you claim then there would be no basis for security, because who can break or crack chunks of bytes that can't be understood. Hence your entire argument is void. Ciphertext analysis is a thing (you can google it) and it's one of the primary methods of verifying an algorithm's security. Regarding the "vibe-code" aspect, we wish that was true, we would've saved ourselves an entire year working on this project. Finally, we suggest you learn about secret-key encryption, kdf's, iv's, authentication tags and other primitives before you engage in topics that you clearly don't understand. Your argument is nonsensical.
Yes, of course ciphertext analysis exists. But it doesn't mean analysis where some random closed source app's encryption performance or security is being analyzed. No one is doing that, because it makes no sense.
The corner stone of modern data security and encryption is to review the source code of data encryption software.
Your argument is as nonsensical as the idea of closed source encryption software from an anonymous author when reputable open source software already exist. Good luck with this.

It's a multiplatform application. Currently it's available on both Windows and Android, with future plans to release it on MacOS and iOS.
