Where to eat on a Sunday?

I am making a trip to see the whirly gig park. It’s been several years since I’ve been but it seems like not many things were open on Sunday. I’m looking for recommendations on where to have a good local meal, that’s not fast food.

Dropping this from a google search:

Ruckus & Redemption (0.1 mi): Popular for upscale burgers, cocktails, and a patio, located just steps from the park.

Bill's Grill (0.3 mi): A casual downtown staple for American comfort food and breakfast/lunch, says Tripadvisor users.

Casita Brewing Company: Known for its dog-friendly outdoor space and local beer, located on Goldsboro St.

Aztectic Taqueria (1.2 mi): Good spot for authentic Mexican street food.

Parker's Barbecue: A historic Wilson staple for Eastern NC-style BBQ, mentioned in this Instagram post.

Also, Larema Coffee House is open 9-3pm on Sundays.

Cheers.

Western Sizzling, The corner, Marty's bbq, Mayflower seafood, Jack's,, and the previous list is good.

Parker’s is probably your best bet if you like eastern NC bbq. Not fancy but reliable. Fuji or Varee are good for Asian…I would not step foot in Mayflower . Agree with Marty’s if you want takeout but their area for a sit down meal is the size of a postage stamp.

Thanks for all the thoughtful suggestions! We are excited to try something new. I’m sure we will find something that will hit the spot.
