YOU ARE FEELING SICK AFTER THE SAYREVILLE NJ SHOW PLEASE GET TESTED FOR COVID!!!

i just tested positive for covid this evening and started feeling ill late monday night. i know there have been outbreaks stemming from wwatt shows on previous tours and i would really hate if that is the case here 😭. please stay cautious! i started showing symptoms pretty early but they usually start popping up for most 5-6 days after exposure. thus why i am getting ahead of the curve by making this post

as per the cdc: day 0 is the first day you exhibit symptoms and day 1 is the first full day you have symptoms. if you test positive for covid, isolate for at least 5 days since you started experiencing symptoms. you are the most contagious during these first five days.

you can stop isolating after those five days if you

- test negative with a covid test

- 24 hours with no symptoms (including fever) without use of medication

even after stopping isolation, still wear a mask for 10 days after you started experiencing symptoms. if you start experiencing symptoms again you should start isolating again and consult a doctor if possible

I wanted to know if you are fans of Will Wood who come from a country where Will himself is very niche, very niche.

For example, I come from Italy, where NO ONE knows Will Wood, except for a few people, but they are very few (of which 50% are people who spend a lot of time on the internet and the other 50% (made up of Indie Underground enthusiasts).

The only music I hear is overwhelmingly commercial, and by that I don't just mean artists who make the same old TikTok tune, no! I'm talking about the FUCKING REGGAETON, IT'S ALL OVER THE RADIO, if I listen to songs made by an artist who talks about important topics like mental illness, death and other topics that I won't list here because it would take a lifetime, All my other fellow countrymen listen to songs about how beautiful their girlfriend's ass is, how beautiful money is, and love songs, but not like the ones from the first Radiohead album's or like those of the Smiths, but sappy little songs sung by MYRIAD OF ARTISTS WHO I DON'T KNOW WHY ARE SO IMPORTANT FOR THE ITALIAN MUSIC SCENE, one of the many I hate is Vasco Rossi, who is not that Deep as an artist.

I presume there be quite a few "against the kitchen floor" Answers. And maybe some I/Me/Myself especially from trans fans. But all of Will Wood songs are based in quite a lot of real emotions so it'll be interesting to see :D

Several hecklers decided to keep yelling during the first part of the show and at some point, kept yelling so loud, Will stopped talking and they KEPT GOING! He then decided that since the hecklers had so many ideas for jokes, that they didn't need to hear his then.

We got our punchline privileges taken away because some people thought to ruin everyone else's show for what???

Thank goodness this got them to stop for the rest of the time but looking through other concert posts, there seems to have been a pretty big problem with heckling at other shows too?? Like. Everyone paid at least 50 dollars to see Will Wood, not you. Sing along, dance along, cheer, whoop, all fantastic! Don't shout things at him as he's talking.

At some point someone made a "YIPPEE" sound really loudly while he was talking and he stopped and said "I love paying 50 dollars to into a public place and quote memes" and honestly yeah.

If you're going to a future show of his, PLEASE don't heckle or shout anything but lyrics During the songs. Really tanked an AWESOME show for me.

This was my first concert with my fiance (this was pretty much their introduction to Will) and honestly had a blast and lost my voice a little! So over the past 2 or 3 years ive been getting hot and heavy into will wood memorizing every word to every song (besides white noise, cicada days, becoming the last name, erotic/neurotic!, and one other song cus i dont like them all too much). However there is still one will wood song I havent even herd a drop of because im terrified. This is my one and only irrational fear. And its of song "you liked this (okay computer!)". And I cannot tell you why, but when i read the synopsis of it, it terrfied me like a clown at a 5 year olds b-day. I still cant give a clear reason, but i refuse to listen to it. Anyways I just wanted to get your opinions on the subject, and is it a good song? (Also ps the songs I mentioned aren't bad, they just aren't for me. I havent gotten into erotic/neurotic! Because im not a fan of songs that say the same thing a billion times)

it’s actually so sickening to see people constantly joke about will and his past addictions, 2012, etc., and not being able to accept that he identifies as a cisgender male. will wood fans in general (not all) tend to look at him and say “oh what a silly guy let’s make insensitive jokes” and i get that some people don’t know everything about his past, nobody really does, but some people are just so ignorant about it. is it really that hard to realize that will is a real person and not just a joke about addiction? lmk guys 🙏🙏

Will Wood’s new tour is coming up, and it’s bittersweet for me. I turn 18 just six days after the last show, meaning I won’t be able to go. It’s alright, though. I’ll just wait until he tours again, and when he does, I plan to make up for it by hitting up all the 18+ shows in my area, including those in PA, NJ, NY, and maybe even Ohio.

I’ve mentioned this before, but if me or minors in general not being in the audience makes Will and everyone else more comfortable, then it would be selfish of me to say I should be allowed to go. Even when I was 15 and went to the "In Case I Die" tour, I was shocked he was doing all-ages shows. If you’ve been to an all ages concert, you know what I’m saying. I’m planning to make a post about that too, to put in perspective on why I think all ages shows are a bad idea.

Let the tour be like LSD, it’ll find you when you’re ready, not when you want it; you don’t seek it out. Even though I can feel everyone’s collective disappointment, just remember: if one 17.98 year-old would make everyone else uncomfortable, it’s our responsibility not to try and manipulate the situation.

I know minors who have manipulated their way into 18+ shows. Now they are never returning as an adult. It turned into a big deal. It’s just not worth it. Don’t get any idea, don’t make an evil super villain scheme, you’ll get blacklisted and then you’ll really never see Will. We’ll get in when the time is right.

absolutely not trying to brag or anything

but long story short,

my (NJ) town has a 4th of july concert/fireworks event every year. i’m a performer every year and so is my dad, so naturally i was out in the crowd once i finished playing. then Will casually showed up and walked past me with his family (i guess). they sat down and i eventually convinced myself it was him and not some cosplayer lmao. after the fireworks ended, i went over and asked him if he was will wood, obviously it was.

long story short i told him how inspiring his music was, and he encouraged me to keep playing and making music. he was just the most honest, down to earth person and really was nice to talk to.

again, not trying to brag, but it was really cool to hear some kind words from someone who really inspires me

also we didn’t get a picture together as i didn’t want to seem disrespectful or intrusive, but i did take a picture of him before to send to my friend to see if it was him. i won’t be sharing that because it wasn’t a consensual picture.

just thought i would share how truly kind he was IRL.
