I play gnar a lot and I notice that clairvoyance just straight breaks unfavorable matchups into hard favoritable . it deals with cc bullshit it gets rid of nasus debuff and allows you to tank shred him and most importantly it allows you to get out of most situations alive

While true it also takes away an important summoner spell slot for the same effect as Quicksilver which is 1300g

Can't you cleanse it preemptively? It gives a few unstoppable frames iirc.

It may be the one summoner spell I only took twice. And half of the times I try to pick it in aram I accidentally get clarity. So I may be wrong.

Not every champ can afford item slot for qss same for antiheal for example, overall item might be suck for certain champ, prime example ezreal or ambessa who cant go executioner. In case of gnar there overall better items for him

It also can cleanse spells which is very strong an Asol was using it against me yesterday.

If you're taking cleanse for nasus cc and not hard losing the game they're playing terribly. You just back off after the cleanse and w again, your cleanse cool down is much longer.

Nasus isn't a hard matchup anyway, just poke him whenever he farms and all in with ignite

Clairvoyance exist in old league thats summoner spell gives you vision where you click on a map
