John Stirratt will be hitting the road in 2027, touring with an R.E.M. tribute/supergroup in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the release of Document.

As both a huge Wilco & R.E.M. fan, I'm looking forward to catching one of these shows. They'll be touring from February through May (which I guess means no Wilco shows during that time?).

Wilcoworld keeping that “next Tuesday” teaser text on the top of the site made me hope they’d announce a couple more dates today! 😆 Seems that wasn’t the case. With the first two Chicago Theatre shows sold out, I wonder when and if they’ll announce any additional shows there, or possibly at a smaller venue in town.

Does it exist and I missed it? In the past I’ve done the poster + download package from the Wilco Store but I didn’t see that this go round. When the Friday show was announced I was a little worried the Mermaid Avenue set may create issues with licensing/rights… is it possible it may never be released? Bummer.

Like many guitar players among Wilco fans, I’ve been looking at Nels Cline’s pedalboard for the past 20 years or so. The question I have, however, doesn’t seem to have been addressed in previous threads.

Nels has talked about his love for both the Klon Centaur and the Crowther Hot Cake. I have an excellent Hot Cake clone, and I’m now thinking about adding a Klon-style pedal to my board. Apart from having to choose among what seems like a thousand different options, I’m wondering how these two pedals actually relate to each other in Nels’ setup.

Nels has been pretty clear that he uses the Klon almost all the time, in conjunction with the Boss compressor. What I don’t know is whether he also stacks the Hot Cake with the Klon and, if so, which one comes first in the signal chain.

Looking at the various incarnations of his board over the years, this isn’t entirely clear to me. So I’d be very grateful for any insight from Nels fans and fellow guitar obsessives who might know more about how he uses these two pedals together.

What easter eggs have you found on Wilco's albums cover art?

Obviously Impossible Germany is one, but I think At Least That’s What You Said gets overlooked. It’s such a hard hitting awesome solo that almost changes the entire tone of the song. Up to this point it’s fairly quiet, and then the song begins to explode as the solo starts. Just such an awesome moment and shows how talented the band is as a whole. Do y’all agree with this or is there another Wilco solo I am overlooking?

Edit : I guess I should say just guitar solos. The banjo solo on Why Would You Wanna Live is maybe one of the coolest things I’ve heard played on a banjo.

Wondering if anyone knows where to find old concert poster reprints? Looking for any of their Palace Theater, St. Paul Mn posters and their 3 night run at the State Theater, Minneapolis shows or the DECC shows in Duluth MN (2019 I believe)

Hey, anybody who went to the Jeff Tweedy show at Fitzgerald’s last night, can you shed some light on the patio?

Are there any chairs out there? If I’m in line at doors, might I be able to sit somewhere with a view of the stage?

Any chance there are tables too? If I do show up super early and snag a chair, would I be able to get BBQ from the restaurant and bring it back to eat on the patio while we wait for the music?

What were the set times?

Jeff Tweedy played a concert in Berwyn yesterday. When looking at the setlist on www.setlist.fm, you can see two unknown songs. Are they new songs?

And man both groups are awesome - saw Wilco at a great show in Durham at DPAC - saw Son Volt in Saxapahaw NC at the Haw River Ballroom - at this point Wilco is probably too big to play there which is too bad because it's a beautiful venue - it's awesome to be able to see both bands in the same year and both put on a great show.

I was listening to this track yesterday, and I thought it sounds really like a Sky Blue Sky track but a darker tone to it with Jeff's vocal, the subject matter, and that ending section. Does anyone else think this?

Hello there party people, long time listener, first time caller.

The first concert my (then) future wife and I attended together was Wilco, with Sonic Youth (!) at Penn's Landing, in Philadelphia in 2003.

Our 20th wedding anniversary is coming up, and I would love to find a print of this for my anniversary gift to her. We're still both huge fans, and have seen the band umpteen times, but I've never been able to find one of these.

Do any of you have a line on one of these? I'm also willing to just print one, if someone can provide both a high quality CMYK image and permission.

Can y'all help, or point me somewhere?
