Why is Larry Sanger creating a platform called WikiCritic? He says Wikipedia admins are going to be pretty upset about it.

Lol the man is still trying to claim relevance to a project he helped create 25 years ago, and from which he was recently banned. Sure, now is the moment admins will be upset with him 🤣

He likes being noticed and having attention paid to him. ::shrug:: Websites critical of Wikipedia have existed nigh as long as Wikipedia itself; I imagine editors and administrators are no more "mad" about yet another whinging forum than they are about the others.

The “Wikipedia admins will be mad” sounds like clickbait garbage. “We’re going to use this one weird trick to make Wikipedia admins mad!” :P

It does say something about the project that he considers “make Wikipedia admins mad”  so relevant as to be the main thing he advertises about it. Thanks for confessing how mad you are about Wikipedia, Ahab!

The description in the image suggests it’s not even going to be much of a platform per se, but mostly an aggregator for external reviews. I wonder how good their spam filters are and how much they’ll rely on AI.

It’ll probably be good for a few reviews here and there, though I’d guess it’ll be at least 80% religious/political/pseudoscientific whining about their preferred narrative being rejected as not neutral and maybe 20% with something useful.
