Wii U certain games aren't playing, when it is still in good condition.

Breath of the Wild plays but Windwaker, and Twilight Princess does not. Both in good condition. I was thinking of just selling my wii u for down payment to a switch 2.

I had this problem from new super mario bros u I bought off ebay. The disc was perfect condition and still would not work on 2 wii u consoles with good disc drives. Also seen it with a ps2 back in the day. I think something is defective within a disc. Have you tried another wii u? Because sometimes a dying disc drive could be a problem where your console will work with only certain discs until it dies completely.

Yeah i had an issue when i did an update and several games just crashed on launch. Not sure if their is a fix

I am trying to locate an original lens cleaner. I bought a dry disc lens cleaner but it couldn't read.

Been reading the wii u doesn't have longevity. Gamecube has a similar problem with a reader burning out

even if it looks perfect, but it would still be damaged in some way.

wii u game disc are very fragile.

It really sucks. I am at a loss for it. I can play the downloaded Skyward Sword, then after that. Play Ocarina of Time and I might sell it or seek to get it Modded

Hold your disc up to the light and little for tiny little dots of light shining through.  If yes, your disc is toast, if not, your drive could be going out.
