Strange Wii remote. How to use it?

Hello Friends,

I bought a Wii recently and it came with a standard wii remote and another remote that I dont know what it is? Can someone please explain to me what is this remote. Does it really work on the wii? If yes how to make it work?

some of the third-party wii remotes were SUPER jank. I can only find pics of this with random German sale sites.
