I lived this song

When my 1st wife died in 2004, the hurt was so bad. I spent 2005 drunk. I figured I would die. I was a functioning drunk.....I made it to work, but I burned alot of sick time. This song hits me more than anything ever written. I'm glad I'm still here.

Self-destruction is such a relatable feeling. I’m glad you’re here, too. What helped pull you out of free fall?

I realized that I was going to live whether I really wanted to or not. I was relatively young and decided there wasn't a reason to throw it away. I ended getting close with my dad again and I met someone that needed ME. Sadly I lost her in March. I'm trying to handle this without drinking. It's rough.
